Concierge is the part of an estate management plan you shape yourself. Every home gets the same maintenance and oversight core. The concierge items you choose are what set how many hours a month the plan needs.
Most owners start with arrival preparation and the departure reset. The work is run by Alec Lister, backed by the Alerion Estate Management team, and delivered through Alerion, which is insured.
The Two Days That Matter Most
Arriving to a stale house, or leaving one half closed, is where a second home costs you the most time. These are the two things most of my clients choose first.
Arrival preparation
- Climate set, water on, and the house aired
- The house cleaned and the beds made
- Groceries and provisions stocked to your list
- The boat uncovered, charged, and ready at the dock
- Anything that failed while you were away found and fixed first
Departure reset
- Linens washed and the house cleaned

- Thermostats, water, and security set for an empty house

How Concierge Shapes Your Plan
Every plan includes the same core: inspections with written reports, preventive maintenance, vendor management, and seasonal and storm readiness. That work is done on every home I look after.
Concierge is where the plan becomes yours. The items you choose, together with the size and complexity of the home, set the monthly hours. The fee is fixed each month, and anything beyond the agreed hours is discussed with you first.

What does a second home concierge do?
It covers the parts of owning a second home that are not maintenance: opening the house before you arrive, closing it after you leave, errands, deliveries, staff, guests, and bookings. With me it sits inside an estate management plan, so the person preparing your arrival already knows the house.
Can I hire concierge on its own?
No. Concierge is part of an estate management plan, on top of the maintenance and oversight every home gets. That is what makes it work: the house has been checked that week, so arrival preparation is not the first time anyone has looked at it.
Does choosing more concierge items change the price?
Yes. The plan is a fixed monthly fee for the hours a home needs, and concierge is the biggest variable after the size and complexity of the home. I scope it with you after a walkthrough, and it can be revisited as the way you use the home changes.
Who does the work?
I am your point of contact and run each home personally. The Alerion Estate Management team of administrators, organizers, and property assistants works alongside me, so errands and arrivals are covered in a busy week. Engagements are contracted and delivered through Alerion, which is insured.
