I look after second homes on Lake Norman and in Charlotte, so they are cared for while you are away and ready when you arrive.
Before this, I spent fifteen years captaining yachts and managing estates for private owners, from the South of France to the U.S.A.
Where the Standard Comes From
I grew up following my father around the estates he managed. That is where I learned that a large home is really a set of systems, and that the owner should never have to think or worry about any of them.
I spent the next fifteen years in the superyacht industry. I worked as a Captain for many years before specializing in overseeing and representing large construction projects of up to $150 million.
A yacht and a large home run on the same systems: HVAC, generators, water, electrical, and pumps. That is why I diagnose problems on the spot, and check a contractor's work before the invoice is paid.
What I Do Now
I work as an estate manager with Alerion Estate Management, based at Lake Norman. I look after a small number of homes, most of them second homes on the lake.
A typical month for one of my homes
- A visit every week, or every other week for smaller homes, inside and out, working through a list of tasks.
- Vendors booked, let in, and checked, with invoices reviewed before they are paid.
- Filters, bulbs, and small repairs handled on the spot.
- The home opened, stocked, and ready before you arrive, and reset after you leave.
- Boats, docks, and lifts looked after through the seasons.
- Weekend and holiday visits when something can't wait.

Diagnosis before dispatch
When something is wrong, I work out what it is before anyone is called. The right trade comes out once, with a clear scope.
One person accountable
You have one number and one person for the home, the dock, and every vendor who works on the property.
Reports you can read in a minute
Every visit and every task is logged in Nines, the estate management platform I use every day. Some owners want every detail, others only what needs a decision. Tell me which you are.
Discretion as standard
I never name clients or share details about a home. NDAs are normal, and I am happy to sign one.
How It Works Through Alerion
Your agreement is with Alerion Estate Management, which is insured, and I am your point of contact from the first call onward. You work with me directly, and the Alerion team of administrators, organizers, and property assistants stands behind the work for coverage and scheduling.
Each home is scoped to a set number of hours a month, based on what it needs and its size. You pay a fixed monthly fee for that time, which for most homes comes to roughly 10 to 25 percent of what a full-time estate manager would cost.
